Building School Leader Capacity for Impact

A qualitative case study conducted from 2016-2020 with 17 school leaders in a northern Michigan intermediate school district. The research analyzed the implementation of professional learning and identified key barriers to instructional leadership, including leadership capacity, district office support, and transiency. The study underscored the superintendent's pivotal role in creating a culture of intentional learning.
